Maxwell Tells Fans To Wait Until Next Year
The official culprit is that ol’ concert biz malady known as “scheduling differences.” While Maxwell will play out his schedule through June 26 when he wraps a two-night stay at New York’s Madison Square Garden, all dates after the MSG shows are postponed until 2011.
But it’s not like many fans haven’t had a chance to see the singer in the U.S. Maxwell toured extensively last year and began his current tour in Cleveland May 21.
Today’s announcement leaves only six shows remaining to play on the artist’s itinerary – June 18 in Washington at the Verizon Center; June 19 in Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center; June 21 in Uncasville, Conn., at the Mohegan Sun Casino; June 22 at the Virginia Beach Amphitheatre and June 25-26 at MSG. Jill Scott appears June 18-25 and Erykah Badu appears June 26.
