But don’t ask which member. So far, the band ain’t telling, choosing instead to post the following message.

“Unfortunately due to an emergency appendectomy of one of The Stone Foxes members, the band is forced to cancel all of their remaining June 2010 performances. We are expecting a full and speedy recovery and hope to reschedule all of the cancelled dates at the next possible opportunity. We are sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your continued support.”

Shows dropped from the band’s routing include stops in San Diego, Seattle, Portland and Eugene.

The Stone Foxes also assured fans that the album release show for the band’s latest effort, Bears And Bulls, scheduled for San Francisco’s Café du Nord July 17 is still a go.

The band also has a few new show dates to add to the public record – July 30 in West Hollywood at the Viper Room; July 31 in Visalia, Calif., at The Cellar Door; Sept. 15 in Boise as part of the Alive After Five Concert Series at The Grove Plaza and Sept. 25 in Ukiah, Calif., at the Ukiah Brewing Company.

Oh, and while you’re contemplating which member had his appendix yanked, there’s a free download of the band’s “I Killed Robert Johnson” available via AOL Radio. Just click here.
