More Changes For Brooks & Dunn

Sometimes even a farewell tour can have its problems. Just ask Brooks & Dunn whose “Last Rodeo Tour” just got a little longer because of illness.

Reports of medical problems affecting the tour surfaced late last week when the country duo postponed weekend gigs in Virginia Beach and Bristow, Va., and canceled their planned appearance at this week’s Nashville Rising flood benefit.

Now it appears the boys will be taking a longer break than expected. A doctor has ordered three weeks of “vocal rest” for Ronnie Dunn.

“Following my doctor’s order, shutting up, getting well and comin’ back asap!” Dunn texted.

Describing three weeks of rescheduled tour dates can be a tad confusing. Basically, the new schedule looks as if many of the dates originally planned from now until mid-July have been rescheduled for August, with Brooks & Dunn’s next performance date set for July 16 in Noblesville, Ind., just outside Indianapolis.

But not all dates could be rescheduled. Like the group’s appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest or the July 8 gig at “Country Concert @ Hickory Hill Lakes” near Fort Loramie, Ohio.

But plenty of B&D shows have been rescheduled, including that Virginia Beach show that was to supposed to take place last week but was rescheduled for July 11 when Dunn first took sick. That’s been rescheduled again, this time for Aug. 15.
