Vince Neil Arrested On DUI Charge

Sounds like Vince Neil may have enjoyed a little too much tequila this weekend. The Mötley Crüe frontman was arrested early Monday in Las Vegas on a drunken driving charge.

Earlier this morning the Associated Press reported the 49-year-old singer was being held on $2,000 bail at the Clark County jail while awaiting a court appearance. Las Vegas police said no further details about his arrest were immediately available.

To Neil, Las Vegas isn’t just a party mecca but the place he calls home. The rocker and his fourth wife live in Las Vegas, and he also owns a number of Las Vegas tattoo shops, a bar called Feelgoods Rock Bar and Grill and Vince Neil’s Tres Rios Cantina at the Las Vegas Hilton. Neil even co-owns his own line of tequila, Tres Rios. In March the singer launched his own luxury air charter service including a Hawker 700, a Lear 35 and a Gulfstream. Vince Neil Aviation is headquartered in a private terminal at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport.

This isn’t the first DUI for Neil. Entertainment Weekly points out that in 1984 Neil crashed his car while driving drunk, killing his passenger, Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Last week Neil released his third solo studio album, Tattoos & Tequila.
