Matador’s Lost Weekend

Matador Records is celebrating its 21st in Sin City with a three-day birthday bash featuring performances by past and present Matador artists including Pavement, Sonic Youth, Spoon and more.

“The Lost Weekend” party is going down Oct. 1-3 at the Pearl Concert Theatre at Las Vegas’ Palms.

The lineup will also include Belle & Sebastian, Guided By Voices, Yo La Tengo, Cat Power, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and The New Pornographers.

Fans can expect to hear sets from Superchunk, Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, Guitar Wolf, Chavez, Girls, Fucked Up, Harlem, Cold Cave, Shearwater, Kurt Vile, and Jeffrey Joe Jensen. The “Lost Weekend” will also feature the original lineup of Come. More artists will be announced soon.

Starting Friday, 3-day tickets go on sale for $199. After the $199 tickets sell out, the price increases to $225. Tickets will not be sold for individual nights.

Ticketholders will be required to reserve standard rooms at the Palms for the event for the discounted rate of $99 per night. The rooms feature two double beds and can be occupied by up to four guests.  Fans will have the option of upgrading to a larger room or suit after purchasing the standard room.

A limited number of VIP packages will be available for $399 with details coming soon.

Nevada residents who have no use for a hotel room will have the opportunity to purchase tickets (without the Palms reservation requirement) in person at Zia Records (available at both the South Eastern Avenue and Sahara locations). A limited number of 100 tickets will be available beginning Friday at 10 a.m. with a two-ticket limit per person. A Nevada state ID will be required for purchase.

A limited number of 3-day tickets priced at $250 – with no Palms reservation required – will be available Friday at 9 a.m. PST through Ticketfly.com.
