Scissor Sisters Sharpen Their Tour Blades

The gender-bending band known as Scissor Sisters has revealed more tour dates, playing North America during August and September then launching a U.K. arena run in December.

Touring in support of its 2010 album Night Work, the band has been keeping its fans satisfied with a world tour, including a stop where the group performed with special guest Kylie Minogue.

Joined by DJ Sammy Jo, the Scissor Sisters begins its North America romp in Atlanta at the Buckhead Theatre Aug. 21, plays Washington’s DAR Constitution Hall Aug. 23 and performs in New York at Terminal 5 Aug. 24. Other cities on the schedule include Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland and Seattle before closing in Vancouver at the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park Sept. 16.

December in the U.K., means arenas for the band, like Birmingham’s LG Arena Dec. 3, the Cardiff Arena Dec. 6 and Glasgow’s SECC Dec. 8. Look for the band to also play Newcastle, Manchester, Brighton, Nottingham and London.

Tickets for shows on both sides of the pond go on sale beginning July 9 while a pre-sale for the U.K. shows launches July 7. For more information, click here for the band’s website.
