Salmonella At Gorge

Seven people reportedly got salmonella during the Sasquatch Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Wash., May 29-31 but no further cases were reported.

Grant County Health District officials have been investigating cases involving three concertgoers from Washington and four from British Columbia.

No cases of salmonella were reported during a two-night stand with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers June 11-12 or the July 3 Lilith Fair concert.

Concertgoers are being encouraged to frequently wash their hands and to be careful with food containing eggs or chicken that doesn’t appear fully cooked.

Aramark is the food service vendor at the Gorge.
