Hegedus Rocks Back
Eighteen months after Laszlo Hegedus became free of the non-compete clause in his Live Nation contract, the veteran Hungarian music promoter has bounced back into the rock world.
Most of the shows promoted by Hegedus, who split from Live Nation at the beginning of 2008, have been family entertainment. But now he’s lined up a series of summer concerts at Budapest’s 12,500-capacity Papp Laszlo SportArena.
So far the confirmed shows include A-ha (July 12), Placebo (Sept. 15), and Ozzy Osbourne (Oct. 4).
Alexandra Jahn, who was with Hegedus at Live Nation between 2005 and 2007 and worked with acts including Robbie Williams, Phil Collins, George Michael, Simply Red and Sting, joined his new company July 5. She will be the international coordinator.
For the last three years she worked for Republic Group advertising agency as conference and event organizer, managing major corporate events and conferences.
