Bono Speaks!
Yesterday, U2 announced rescheduled North American shows for its 360° tour that was originally scheduled for this summer. But yesterday was only words and text. Today the band speaks for itself.
U2 posted a video on its website hinting that band members Larry Mullen Jr., Adam Clayton and The Edge had considered a substitute lead singer while Bono recuperated from emergency back surgery, but couldn’t find anyone to fill Bono’s shoes.
How is Bono feeling these days? The frontman says he can do the basics – that is, sit, stand and walk a bit.
He also took a moment to apologize for fans for the postponed tour. Originally scheduled to begin the first week of June in Salt Lake City, the tour is now scheduled for May through July 2011.
The band also assured fans it will be ready to rumble when the next 360° tour leg begins in Italy Aug. 6. For more information, click here for U2.com.
