The show at Sydney Olympic Park is being promoted as a one-off for Australia’s east coast but this is the first indication of Axl Rose & Company doing a date Downunder since the band played the continent in 2007.

V8 Supercars Australia announced the show today, saying GNR will be joined by skateboarder extraordinaire Tony Hawk, who will conduct daily shows at Sydney Olympic Park during the Dec. 3-5 Telstra 500 weekend. Guns N’ Roses appears Saturday, Dec. 4.

Tickets go on sale Monday, July 19, through Australia’s Ticketek with three-day passes going for $156 and Saturday-only tickets priced at $91 (Australian currency). Remember, these are tickets for the racing event. The concert is free but you need a Saturday ticket to get through the gates. Click here for Ticketek and here for V8 Supercars Australia website.
