The “Hallway Of Shatter-Proof Glass Tour” accompanies the band’s previously announced appearance at Matador Records’ 21st birthday bash, “The Lost Weekend.”

Rolling Stone notes that the “classic” lineup features Pollard along with Tobin Sprout and Charles “Mitch” Mitchell on guitar, Greg Demos on bass and Kevin Fennel on drums.

The fall trek kicks off Sept. 30 at East Side Drive Inn in Austin, Texas, and wraps up Nov. 7 at Terminal 5 in New York.

Guided by Voices will also make stops at The Wiltern in Los Angeles (Oct. 4), Showbox SoDo in Seattle (Oct. 9), First Avenue in Minneapolis (Oct. 12), Vic Theatre in Chicago (Oct. 13), 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (Oct. 21) and Paradise Rock Club in Boston (Nov. 5).

Select dates go on sale beginning July 16 at 10 a.m. local time.

The band released its final album, Half-Smiles of the Decomposed, in August 2004 and played its final show Dec. 31, 2004 at Chicago’s Metro.

“This feels like the last album for Guided By Voices,” Pollard wrote in a statement on the band’s website. “I’ve always said that when I make a record that I’m totally satisfied with as befitting a final album, then that will be it. And this is it.”

Matador’s Lost Weekend is going down Oct. 1-3 at the Pearl Concert Theatre at Las Vegas’ Palms. The fest features past and present Matador artists including Pavement, Sonic Youth, Spoon, Belle & Sebastian, Cat Power and more.
