Breakers To Remain Bare

The annual Bay To Breakers footrace in San Francisco, organized by AEG, will proceed this year with its greatest feature intact: naked naughty bits.

It will not proceed, however, with liquor, floats and litter. The race – formed to lift the spirits of citizens after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake – is seeing its 100th anniversary next summer, and race GM Angela Fang wants to make sure it’s safe.

The spokesman for Bay to Breakers, which has its share of audaciously costumed – and uncostumed – runners, told San Francisco Appeal that nudity would be allowed next year, but alcohol and unregistered floats are prohibited.

Fang reportedly said the same thing to ABC7 News. Asked if naked drunk people could run, she responded, “I don’t know about that.”
