GNR To Headline Supercar Event

Guns N’ Roses will play a one-off concert in Sydney, Australia, at the end of the year, headlining a concert called the Sydney Telstra 500 as part of the three-day V8 Supercar Championship Series.

The street race was the biggest single event in NSW in 2009, its inaugural year, when 184,000 walked through the gates. The concert, headlined by a reunited Cold Chisel, drew 50,000 to ANZ Stadium.

GNR’s show, to be Dec. 4, is expected to exceed that number. The television ad for the event features V8 Supercar drivers playing air guitar to Guns N’ Roses’ songs.

The rest of the bill is forthcoming.
