Tab The Band Connects With STP, Slash
When a band counts two sons of a guitar hero in its lineup the easiest way to book dates might be to open for Dad’s group. But Tab The Band has other things in mind, like touring with Stone Temple Pilots and doing a couple gigs with Slash.
In case you haven’t been paying attention, Tab The Band features brothers Adrian (lead vocals/bass) and Tony Perry (guitar), whose pop is Aerosmith guitar slinger Joe Perry.
But rather than open for dad’s legendary group, Tab The Band will appear on a short list of dates starring STP along with Cage the Elephant: Aug. 31 in Uncasville, Conn., at the Mohegan Sun Arena; Sept. 1 in Boston at Bank Of America Pavilion; Sept. 3 in Atlantic City at the Borgata Event Center; Sept. 4 in Wantagh, N.Y., at the Nikon @Jones Beach Theater and Sept. 5 in Holmdel, N.J., at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
This isn’t the first time Tab The Band has appeared with Stone Temple Pilots, having toured with STP in 2008 as well as opening for the band earlier this year.
Tab The Band will also do a couple dates with guitar man Slash – NYC’s Terminal 5 Sept. 14 and a hometown show at Boston’s House of Blues.
