The alternative metal band’s seventh studio album is the follow-up to 2006’s Monochrome. Seeing Eye Dog is set for release Sept. 7 on the indie Work Song label with physical distribution by Redeye and digital delivery by Topspin.

All pre-sale tickets to Helmet’s fall U.S. tour are only $24 when purchased through the band’s website. Along with Seeing Eye Dog the ticket also includes a digital download of Live at Warped Tour San Francisco July 8, 2006. The digital downloads will be sent to fans via email on or before Sept. 7. Pre-sale tickets also include instant downloads of the tunes “Seeing Eye Dog,” “LA Water” and live versions of “Milquetoast” and “Tic.”

A $99 Deluxe + Laminate package, which is signed by frontman Page Hamilton, includes the above digital downloads along with a golden laminate tour pass that allows fans to meet the band and get into all shows on the upcoming U.S. tour.  The package also includes a custom Helmet USB key with four exclusive live albums: Live in Budapest, Hungary – July 1, 2008, Live in Angouleme, France – Feb. 8, 2009, Live in Detroit – Aug. 29, 2007 and Live at The Grasspop Festival in Dessel Belgium – June 17, 2008. In addition fans will receive copies of Seeing Eye Dog and Live at Warped Tour San Francisco July 8, 2006 on both 180 gram vinyl and two-disc CD.

The U.S. tour kicks off Sept. 8 at Harlow’s Night Club in Sacramento, Calif., and wraps up Nov. 5 at Key Club in West Hollywood, Calif.

Helmet will also be making stops at Showbox At The Market in Seattle (Sept. 15), Bluebird Theater in Denver (Oct. 8), Double Door in Chicago (Oct. 12), Lee’s Palace in Toronto (Oct. 17), Sonar in Baltimore (Oct. 22) and The Gramercy Theatre in New York (Oct. 23).

In November the band heads for Europe with dates lined up in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
