Maroon 5 Lights The Fuse

Three-time Grammy Award-winning Maroon 5 beams into your home tonight via national music cable channel Fuse as well as on the band’s brand-spanking new Internet radio station.

Maroon 5 is playing a special charity gig at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. However, this isn’t a show you could buy tickets for. Instead, the band is filling those seats through a charity selected by the band and families affiliated with The Garden Of Dreams Foundation, which works closely with Fuse owner Madison Square Garden to benefit kids in crisis in the Tri-State area.

Presented by Coca-Cola, “Fuse Presents: Maroon 5 Live From The Beacon Theatre” airs tonight at 9 p.m. EDT. Directly following the broadcast the cable channel will present “Loaded: Maroon 5,” a half-hour program filled with the band’s videos.

Tonight’s concert also launches the band’s new A.P.E. Radio station on iheartradio, appropriately called Maroon 5 Radio. Along with plenty of the group’s music the channel’s playlist has plenty of band members’ favorite songs ranging from Frank Sinatra to Radiohead and including Queens Of The Stone Age, Herbie Hancock, Outkast, N.E.R.D., Bjork and Alicia Keys.

You’ll also find Maroon 5 Radio on hundreds of Clear Channel Radio’s individual station websites.

Of course, there’s a reason for all this broadcast madness. Maroon 5’s upcoming tour launches in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Friday. Plus, the band’s new album, the Mutt Lange-produced Hands All Over, drops Sept. 21.

“Our fans have always been there for us,” Maroon 5’s Adam Levine said. “And our station, Maroon 5 Radio, is a new way for us to let them inside our world. We’re starting the station off with a concert for a great cause. We just can’t wait to play, and we invite anyone outside NYC to join us in their homes on Fuse, as well as the iheartradio platform.”
