Gorillaz North American Dates Revealed

It was only last week when Gorillaz announced a world tour. Now the band is giving out details, naming dates, cities and venues in North America.

Of course, a Gorillaz tour is hardly ordinary. Created as animated characters by artist Jamie Hewlett and Blur’s Damon Albarn, Gorillaz began life in the two-dimensional world and ventured forth into our three-dimensional realm as holographic projections, appearing at event such as at the MTV Europe Movie Awards in 2005 and the Grammy Awards in 2006.

More recently, Albarn and a stellar list of artists, including Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash, along with Bobby Womack and De La Soul, appeared as Gorillaz at Coachella. Since then Gorillaz has also played the U.K.’s , in Denmark and in Spain.
