No Charges For Wale Profanity
Baltimore city officials won’t be taking legal action against rapper
Bill Gilmore of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts said July 26 that officials were disturbed by the headliner’s offensive language and are reviewing Wale’s contract to make sure it was stated the festival is a family-friendly event.
“He’s not known to do that kind of performance,” Gilmore told the Baltimore Sun. “We were pretty much caught off-guard.”
BPOA staff are now discussing ways to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future.
“It was a tough lesson and we need to move on,” Gilmore told the paper.
