Anschutz Train Derailed

Philip Anschutz’s luxury train service never made it out of the station.

The proposed American Railway Explorer, which was to feature a restored fleet of vintage train cars with cruise ship-like amenities and premium prices for multi-day trips on four U.S. routes, is no more.

The company recently told travel industry officials that operations have ceased, according to the Denver Post.
