Chugg Book Gets October Release

Veteran Australian promoter Michael Chugg’s biography is set for an October release through publishers Pan McMillan.

Written by Iain Shedden, music writer for The Australian newspaper, it covers his early days with Frontier Touring and then his branching out with his own with Chugg Entertainment.

One of his greatest moments, he often recalls, is introducing his mother to Frank Sinatra when he toured him downunder.

Chugg had to calm Ole’ Blue Eyes down a few days later when he wanted to cancel the tour and return to the United States after a Sydney reviewer thought that opening act Sammy Davis Jr. was more talented.
