3OH!3 Eating SpaghettiOs For You

As a follow-up to 3OH!3’s spring co-headlining tour with Cobra Starship, the electropop / hip hop duo is returning to U.S. stages this fall for a headlining trek in support of  its third studio album, “Streets of Gold.”

Named after Colorado area code 303, 3OH!3 features beatmaster Nathaniel Motte and MC Sean Foreman. After sharing a 2003 physics class at the University of Colorado, the duo starting making music together and released its debut, self-titled album in 2007.

Streets of Gold was released June 29 on Photo Finish. The album’s first single, “My First Kiss (feat. Ke$ha)” has already earned RIAA platinum certification with digital sales in excess of 1 million. The tune’s music video has also snagged a nomination for best collaboration in the MTV Video Music Awards.

The next single from Streets of Gold, “Double Vision,” is set for release in late August. A companion video clip is in post-production.

The Solid Gold Headline Tour will hit up a number of U.S. cities 3OH!3 missed during its spring tour.

Catch the guys on the road beginning Oct. 14 at Sunset Station Lonestar Pavilion in San Antonio, Texas, with dates booked through a Nov. 24 performance at Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque.

Additional shows include Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Tenn. (Oct. 16), Ches-A-Rena in Pittsburgh (Oct. 30), Egyptian Room in Indianapolis (Nov. 1), Orpheum Theatre in Madison, Wis. (Nov. 5) and The Dome in Bakersfield, Calif. (Nov. 19).

The trek will feature Hellogoodbye and Down With Webster as opening acts. The Secret Handshake, Neon Hitch, Southern Belle and K. Flay will also support select dates.

“We did everything we could to get ticket prices super low for you guys,” Motte said in a video on the duo’s website.

“I know it’s a hard time and a lot of times concerts are really expensive and ticket fees are really, really expensive. It’s a shame and we’re doing everything we can to get them low.”

Foreman added, “We’re eating SpaghettiOs, which is totally fine. We prefer to eat spaghettiOs.”

In addition to eating pasta in a can, Motte said the duo has been working “with a lot of independent promoters on this. We’re going to find cool, creative ways for you to avoid ticketing fees, keep ticket prices low and give you guys the best show for your money.”

3OH!3 is currently wrapping up a number of festival appearances including Pukkelpop in Belgium (Aug. 20), Leeds in the U.K. (Aug. 27) and Reading in the U.K. (Aug. 28). On Oct. 3 the duo plays the L.A. County Fair in Pomona, Calif.
