The motorcycle, along with its trailer, was going to be auctioned to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and was signed by many country music stars, including Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Dolly Parton. The organization raises funds for research and early detection of breast cancer.

But the Sporty, valued at $15,000, along with the $5,000 trailer, were stolen by what appears to be a very determined thief. Secured by chains, the trailer and bike were left in the organization’s parking lot over the weekend. However, cycle and trailer were missing when Cure employees arrived for work Monday morning, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

“We had really hoped to achieve about $100,000 by auctioning the items before the foundation’s Race For The Cure Oct. 16,” Susan G. Comen for the Cure executive director Penny Gilbert said. “We’ve missed that opportunity now.”
