Linkin Park Tapped For Best Buy Theater Inaugural

New York’s Nokia Theatre Times Square undergoes a name change next month, exchanging its shingle for Best Buy Theater Linkin Park helps usher in the new moniker.

Billed as the band’s only public performance in the U.S. this year, Linkin Park plays the venue Sept. 14, the same day the old name is swapped out for the new.

The stars must be in alignment for the AEG Live / Best Buy alliance resulting in the new name as well as for Linkin Park. Sept. 14 is also the same day Linkin Park’s new album, A Thousand Suns, drops, making the Best Buy Theater date even more special as the band premieres new music mixed in with fan favorites.

How do you get tickets for this exclusive gig? There will be a presale for members of the official Linkin Park Fan Club – LPU – beginning Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. This presale also applies to fan club newcomers. That is, if they join by Aug. 22. Non-members who pre-order A Thousand Suns through the band’s website by Aug. 22 will also be invited to the Aug. 23 presale, but will have to wait until 3 p.m. that day to purchase tickets. All times Eastern Daylight.
