Minus The Bear’s Fall Plans

Minus The Bear has big plans for the fall with the announcement of a U.S. headlining tour and a round of European dates supporting Jimmy Eat World.

The Seattle-based indie rock band is touring in support of its fourth full-length album.

Omni, the follow-up to 2007’s Planet of Ice, was released May 4 on Dangerbird Records. The album was produced by Grammy Award-wining producer Joe Chiccarelli, who has worked with artists including The White Stripes and My Morning Jacket.

Before hitting the road this fall, Minus The Bear has a number of festival appearances lined up including Pukkelpop in Belgium (Aug. 19), Rock En Seine in Paris (Aug. 27) and Leeds (Aug. 28) in the United Kingdom.

The U.S. headlining trek begins Oct. 18 at WOW Hall in Eugene, Ore., with dates booked through an Oct. 29 gig at House Of Blues in Houston.

Additional stops include The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco (Oct. 19), The Wiltern in Los Angeles (Oct. 22), Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Ariz. (Oct. 23) Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque, N.M. (Oct. 24) and House Of  Blues in Dallas (Oct. 28).

More dates will be added soon.

Minus The Bear will join Jimmy Eat World in Europe Nov. 3 at Melkweg in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with dates booked through a Nov. 23 gig at Brixton Academy in London.

The tour includes shows in Belgium, Germany, Ireland and Scotland.
