Papa Roach, Skillet Become ‘Monsters Of Annihilation’

You can bet no one is going to mistake this for a Smooth Jazz tour or an intimate acoustic adventure. Not with Papa Roach and Skillet co-headlining an outing called “Monsters Of Annihilation.”

You could consider the tour’s title as a mashup of releases by the two acts. Papa Roach’s upcoming album is entitled Time For Annihilation… On The Record and On The Road, which drops Aug. 31 while Skillet’s latest album, Awake, features a big hit called “Monster.”

And now we have the “Monsters Of Annihilation” tour, coming to a town near you. That is, if you’re worthy.

The tour begins in Myrtle Beach, S.C., at House Of Blues Oct. 1; plays Baltimore’s Rams Head Live Oct. 5 and stops in Wallingford, Ct., for a show at The Dome Oct. 6. Other stops include Clifton Park, N.Y., Worcester, Mass., Rochester, N.Y., Toledo, Kansas City, St. Louis and Oklahoma City.

Trapt and My Darkest Days appear on all dates.

Meanwhile, back at Monsters Of Annihilation HQ…

“We’ve become good friends with Skillet over the past couple of years and are excited to jump on the road with them,” Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix said. “Having both Papa Roach and Skillet together on one stage, you best believe we’re going to burn it down!!! Get ready for total stage annihilation.”
