La Roux Reschedules U.S. Headline Dates

La Roux is bringing its catchy electropop hits back to U.S. clubs this fall with a round of November dates.

The duo features singer/keyboardist/co-writer and co-producer Elly Jackson and keyboardist/co-writer/co-producer Ben Langmaid but you’ll only see the red-haired androgynous Elly in the music videos and on tour.

“When we started this project, we’d agreed that it would just be me doing the pop star part of it, the photo shoots and interviews,” she told Spinner. “Ben wanted to have more of a background role. When I’m on stage, I have my band with me – Mickey [O’Brien], Mikey [Norris] and William [Bowerman] – so I don’t feel like I’m on my own.”

The November dates make up for several U.S. gigs La Roux was forced to postpone in late July/early August because Elly was suffering from a bad case of bronchitis and pharyngitis.

Catch La Roux on the road beginning Nov. 1 at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Dates are booked through a Nov. 17 performance at Terminal 5 in New York.

Additional stops include The Tabernacle in Atlanta (Nov. 5), Rams Head Live! in Baltimore (Nov. 7), Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia (Nov. 9), 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (Nov. 10) and House Of Blues in Boston (Nov. 15).

La Roux is touring in support of its 2009 debut self-titled album. The duo’s second U.S. single “In For The Kill” will hit U.S. radio in the coming weeks.  The tune will be released as a digital remix EP Sept. 14 via Cherrytree/Interscope. Look out for a special edition vinyl later that month.
