Paciolan And StubHub’s New Venture

The world of ticketing has a new partnership in StubHub and Paciolan, which recently inked a multiyear agreement to integrate the secondary ticketing platform with the in-house ticketing provider’s technology.

The new offering is getting a test run in the college sports market with Florida State University and Purdue University – two schools that currently partner with both companies.

Under the deal, users will be able to list and purchase tickets through the StubHub marketplace and make purchases and receive tickets via e-mail though the universities’ respective Paciolan print-at-home delivery systems.

Company CEO Dave Butler said in a statement that the agreement offers athletics programs “greater reach to attract new buyers to purchase premium tickets, fill empty seats and increase game-day revenues.”

The system also eliminates the need for season ticketholders to enter barcodes to offer seats to select events, the companies said. When tickets sell, orders are confirmed, old barcodes are canceled and brand new tickets with new barcodes are e-mailed to buyers.

Paciolan was acquired by Comcast-Spectacor in March. The company provides in-house ticketing services to more than 200 college athletics programs, performing arts organizations, arenas, professional sports teams and museums.
