CMJ Fest 2010 Lineup

CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival has announced its 2010 initial lineup including Four Tet, School Of Seven Bells, Ghostface Killah and The Drums

The fest takes place in various venues throughout New York City Oct. 19-23. The event features new films, over 75 educational panel sessions and performances from more than 1000 bands.

During the past 31 years, keynote speakers have included David Bowie, Andrew W.K., Rev Run, Lou Reed, Johnny Rotten and KRS-ONE. “Pulp Fiction,” “Borat,” “American History X” and “Fight Club” were all screened at the film festival.

This year’s lineup also includes DeVotchKa, Surfer Blood, Two Door Cinema Club, Greg Dulli, Foreign Exchange, Helmet, Lissie and Bad Books (featuring Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra).

The lovely ladies of Katzenjammer help kick off Saturday’s party.

Katzenjammer is on the list along with Kristen Schall & Friends, Dean & Britta, Bayside, Senses Fail, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Salem and The Blow. Look out for performances from The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Small Black, Big Freedia, Dominique Young Unique, Angus & Julia Stone, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. and Langhorne Slim.

Many more artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Today is the last day to save on badges for the fest. Fans have until midnight to save up to $45 off badges, which are currently priced between $100 and $750.
