Interpol Is Going Parking
Interpol’s self-titled fourth studio album is set for release Sept. 7 on Matador Records.
The “out-store performance” coincides with the album release and takes place in the parking lot at Space 15 Twenty at 1520 N. Cahuenga Blvd.
Doors are at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Make sure you arrive on time because the short but sweet show will “end promptly” at 8 p.m.
Although the free show is being held in a parking lot, the event is exclusive and limited to fans who pre-order the new album or buy it in person at select independent record shops Sept. 7. These fans will receive wristbands guaranteeing entry to the show.
After playing Space 15 Twenty, Interpol heads for Europe with tour dates lined up from mid-September to early October in France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
A second set of European shows is set for mid-November through early December with gigs in the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and Austria as well as additional dates in Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.
Interpol’s fall U.S. tour kicks off Oct. 18 at Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., with dates booked through a Nov. 5 show at United Palace in New York.
Additional U.S. dates include The Joint in Las Vegas (Oct. 22), Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (Oct. 23), Palladium Ballroom in Dallas (Oct. 27) and DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
