Scorpions To Say ‘Goodbye’ Through 2011

The famed German rock band says it will continue its farewell tour through next year.

Today’s Scorpions announcement comes with no tour dates except to say the band will hit many U.S. cities that it missed in 2010.

Of course, there’s no time limit as to how long Scorpions can keep on saying “Goodbye.” When announced in January, the band said the “Get Your Sting And Blackout World Tour” would take place “over the next few years.”

It’s been a helluva ride for members Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitar), James Kottak (drums) and Pawel Maciwoda (bass). Having already played Europe and North America, the band rocks Mexico when it returns to the road Sept. 4, then heads to South America followed by a series of fall dates in its native Germany.

Then there’s next year with dates and cities yet to be determined. Maybe even your local arena.
