Set to honor the 30th anniversary of Bonham’s passing, “Bonzo: The Groove Remains The Same” takes place in West Hollywood at the Key Club. New additions to the bill are Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), Abe Laboriel (Paul McCartney) and Bobby Blotzer (Ratt).

The newly added drummers join a lineup that already bristles with rhythmic excellence. Previously announced musicians appearing at the show include “Steven Adler (Guns N’ Roses, Adler’s Appetite), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell), Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins), Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot), Fred Coury (Cinderella), Jimmy D’Anda (BulletBoys), James Kottak (Scorpions), Khurt Maier (Salty Dog), Chris Slade (The Firm / AC/DC), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chickenfoot), Briian Tichy (Whitesnake, Foreigner, Billy Idol), Joe Travers (Zappa Plays Zappa, Duran Duran) and Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio).

John Bonham’s son, Jason, will also be in attendance because, after all, it wouldn’t be real tribute to Bonzo without him. Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart) and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold) will perform via video hookup.
