Shelby & Allison ‘Side By Side’

Marking the first time the two sisters have ever toured together, Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer strike out on their “Side By Side Tour” early next month.

After all these years it’s kind of amazing that the ladies have never ventured out on that touring highway. Sure, they both achieved success in the 1990s and appeared on each other’s albums, but extensive live work has never been in the plans until now.

Thi syear has also been good to Lynne’s younger sister, Moorer, who released her acclaimed Crows in the spring. Called “chillingly brilliant” by The New York Times while The Boston Globe praised it as “a striking album,” Crows is Moorer’s seventh studio recording.
