Dave Matthews Band Fall Tour

Dave Matthews Band has announced a round of fall U.S. dates, giving fans a few more chances to see the group live before they take a year off the road in 2011.

After playing two nights at Chicago’s Wrigley Field (Sept. 17-18), the fall tour kicks off Nov. 2 at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y. Dates are on the books through a two-night stand Nov. 19-20 at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va.

Matthews and co. will also be making stops at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia (Nov. 6), TD Garden in Boston (Nov. 9-10), Madison Square Garden Arena in New York (Nov. 12-13), Philips Arena in Atlanta (Nov. 16) and North Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina (Nov. 17).

Amos Lee will open for DMB Nov. 2-3 and Punch Brothers will take over Nov. 5-6. John Butler Trio opens Nov. 9-13 with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue closing out the tour Nov. 16-20.

Members of the Warehouse, DMB’s official fan association, will get first crack at the tickets. The Warehouse Ticketing Request Period opens Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. EST and closes Sept. 20 at 12 p.m. EST. Rather than selling tickets on a first come, first served basis, all members have the same chance at getting their hands on tickets. Tickets are limited to four sold per member per show.

The public onsale for the fall tour takes place Sept. 24 and Sept. 25.

In May the band gave fans a heads up about its vacation plans through a statement on DMB’s website.

“As we feel the excitement building for this summer, we wanted to let everyone know that after twenty years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off. We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people’s lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We’re excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012.”
