A heavy downpour certainly dampened the spirits of Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato fans in Tampa, Fla., where rains flooded out the 1-800-Ask-Gary-Amphitheatre Sept. 8, leading to the cancellation that evening’s concert.

In what was reportedly the first time a show has been canceled over bad weather in the shed’s six-year history, several inches of rain fell in the hours leading up to the performance.

Backstage and seating areas near the stage were inundated with water and Live Nation eventually pulled the plug citing safety concerns.

“Due to flash flooding in the Tampa area resulting in unsafe conditions at the venue, tonight’s Jonas Brothers concert at 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre has been canceled,” LN said in an announcement. “Refunds will be available at point of purchase starting tomorrow morning.”
