Billions, Constant Artists Merge

The Billions Corporation and Constant Artists Touring announced Sept. 8 that they’ve merged and will begin new operations under the Billions banner with principal offices in Chicago, Seattle and Los Angeles effective Sept. 13. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ben Dickey founded Constant Artists Touring in 2007 and brings a roster that includes Okkervil River, I Love You But I’ve Chosen Darkness, Explosions in the Sky, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears and Suckers.

The Billions Corporation, headed up by David Viecelli, has agents based in Toronto, Portland, Ore., and Bloomington, Ind., in addition to those in Seattle and Chicago. Its roster of exclusive clients includes The Arcade Fire, Death Cab For Cutie, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Sufjan Stevens, Vampire Weekend, Bon Iver, Neko Case, Silversun Pickups, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Fleet Foxes and The Swell Season.

“I’ve always respected the way Billions does business,” Dickey said in a statement. “Their honest, artist-centric approach has constantly provided unique opportunities for their clients, and their commitment to developing quality, career artists is a priority we’ve always shared.”

Billions President Vicielli added, “Ben’s self-made reputation speaks for itself. His integrity and fresh, no-nonsense ethic mesh perfectly with the environment we’ve built here.”

A portion of Constant Artists Touring offices, located in the Wiltern Theatre building in Los Angeles, will become the new L.A. digs of The Billions Corporation. Dickey can be reached for agency business starting Sept. 13 at 312-997-9999 ext. 8250 and via e-mail at [email protected].
