The festival, taking place Sept. 24-25 at Santa Barbara’s Chase Palm Park features plenty of music, including performances by UB40, J.J. Grey & Mofro, SOJA, Rebelution and Savoy.

But we wouldn’t blame you for feeling somewhat jaded after a summer season of multi-day events packed wall-to-wall with bands, stages and jams. Thankfully, those tequila-making folks at Jose Cuervo have just the ticket.

The Cuervo Games feature American Gladiator-style competitions where the over-21 crowd can engage in live, interactive games guaranteed to test one’s physical stamina.

For example, festivalgoers can compete in teams of four in the Barrel Roll as they climb a Mayan pyramid to capture flags placed at its summit. There’s also a 20-foot rock climb while being doused with water. Another event is Margarita Madness, described as “a messy race against the clock to make the ultimate cocktail.”

You also might end up a star on the Internet video circuit after the Cuervo Games finals air on Justin.TV.

The Cuervo Games will be at the West Beach Music & Arts Festival Saturday, Sept. 25. For more information, click here for the Jose Cuervo website and here for the festival’s web HQ.
