The C.F. Martin & Co and Pitcher Sword Productions have partnered to present the Martin Guitar Tour featuring various maestros doing what they do best – playing those acoustic Martin guitars.

Right now only one date has been released – Dec. 11 in Easton, Penn., at the State Theatre. Appearing will be Jorma Kaukonen, Peter Rowan, Woody Mann and Rory Block, all of whom have their own Signature Martin Guitars.

While details are still in the planning stages, expect mandolinist to perform with Kaukonen and Tony Rice with Rowan. Other artists include local musician Craig Thatcher as well as a few surprise guests.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of an event that will feature solo and ensemble performances by some of the most prominent guitar players in the world,” said C.F. Martin’s Dick Boak, a guitar historian who will host the event. “For many years, we have wanted to collaborate in the creation of a Martin concert series like this. We are looking forward to seeing this concept take shape in the years to come.

Tickets are now on sale. For more information, click here for the State Theatre’s website, here for C.F. Martin’s website and here for Pitcher Sword Productions’ web HQ.
