Against Me! Cancels Tour

Against Me! has canceled all upcoming tour dates with an announcement posted just two days before its Australian and New Zealand trek was set to kick off.

The Florida punk rock band didn’t give an explanation for the sudden cancellation. The following announcement was posted on the band’s website today:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances Against Me! have had to cancel all upcoming tour dates in 2010. Refunds will be available at point of purchase, sincere apologies to our fans for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Against Me! was set to play the San Francisco Bathhouse in Wellington, New Zealand, on Friday followed by a Saturday show at Kings Arms in Auckland. Australian dates would have taken place between Oct. 5-10, followed by an Oct. 14 gig in Japan.

United Kingdom dates were set for Oct. 22 through Nov. 3. A number of European shows were also lined up in Belgium, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

The band was touring in support of its fifth studio album, 2010’s White Crosses.
