Employee Sues HoB New Orleans

A former employee of the House of Blues in New Orleans is reportedly suing the Live Nation-owned company for race and gender discrimination.

The lawsuit, filed Sept. 17 by Eartha Grant in New Orleans, alleges unfair treatment based on race or gender, hostile work environment, failure to promote and unlawful constructive discharge, according to the Louisiana Record.

The lawsuit is reportedly seeking more than $300,000 in damages for lost wages, loss of earning capacity, punitive damages, interest, court costs and attorney’s fees, the paper said.

Live Nation spokeswoman Liz Morentin told Pollstar the company doesn’t comment on pending litigation.
