Satriani Doubles Down

Joe Satriani’s 14th studio effort, Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards, drops Oct. 5, and his previously announced world tour begins in Dublin at Vicar Street Oct. 16 and hits the USA Dec. 1 at Atlanta’s Center Stage.

Now the axeman has even more dates in addition to the previously announced Canada shows in Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna and Vancouver.

The new U.S. dates include Snoqualmie, Wash., at the Snoqualmie Ballroom Jan. 8; Spokane at the Bing Crosby Theatre Jan. 9; Portland at Roseland Jan. 11; Oakland at Fox theater Jan. 13; Reno at Grand Sierra Theatre Jan. 14; Las Vegas at House Of Blues Jan. 15 and Los Angeles at the Orpheum Theatre Jan. 16.

But wait! There’s more!

Satriani has lined up a couple of West Coast in-store appearances where he’ll sign copies of his new album as well as autograph the December issue of Guitar World featuring the maestro on its cover.

Yes, Satriani is busting out all over, even on other artists’ releases. His “Always With Me Always With You” was recently sampled by Nicki Minaj for her new song, “Right Through Me,” which appears on her new album due out in November.
