Rania On Both Sides

Producer Teddy Riley’s new project, a pan-Asian girl group called Rania, will make its debut at the start of November in Korea and the U.S. simultaneously.

Riley wrote two songs for the group, whose five members are from Thailand, China and Korea. All five are reportedly fluent in English, Japanese, Chinese and Thai.

Riley is “discussing the music distribution rights with Sony Music and Universal Music,” according to a statement from DR Music, the group’s agency.

In addition, Lady Gaga’s choreographer, Richard Jackson, has been hired to work on Rania’s stage act. The group completed recording the two singles in Los Angeles Sept. 13.
