Bryn’s Glass Menagerie

A 30-plus year career as the publicist for numerous labels and bands doesn’t afford one much time for her own artistic pursuits.

So when the opportunity presented itself, Bryn Bridenthal picked up and moved to Atascadero, Calif., where she’s pursuing a lifelong dream to work with glass.

Bridenthal retired from PR in 2009 to work with glass full time and debuts her fused and coldworked pieces during the San Luis Obispo County open studios art tour this month.

Bridenthal began her steps into the music industry with San Francisco radio station KMPX in the early ’70s before founding the promotions/publicity department at Rolling Stone.

From there, she held posts at Elektra-Asylum Records, Capitol Records, Geffen Records, DreamWorks Records and her own firms, where she handled campaigns for artists including Queen, Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana and Toby Keith, among many others.
