Cold War Kids Roll Out Fall Tour

So you woke up this morning thinking the Cold War Kids haven’t been all that active this year. Well, that’s about to change.

Sure, the band had a few dates here and there during the year, but now the group gets busy, prepping for a short November-December tour followed by the release of its third studio album in early 2011.

Mine Is Yours, on Downtown Records, drops Jan. 25. Produced by Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Norah Jones), the 11-song collection was recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles during a three month period and is the band’s first studio effort since 2008’s Loyalty To Loyalty.

“I got home from tour and realized I was married. All my friends had either jumped in the deep end of a relationship or had drowned,” Cold War Kids singer Nathan Willett said. “When did things get so serious? We fought growing up but the wild nights and free-for-all caught up to us. Some people got out in time and others had permanent damage. For this record, I wrote about the joys and failures of commitment all around me.”
