Matisyahu’s annual “Festival Of Light” residency shows usually take place in New York City and Brooklyn. But fans’ demands have resulted in the reggae artist taking his Hanukkah-timed shows outside the Big Apple to upstate New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Maine.

As an added attraction to the tour, Matisyahu is releasing a re-mastered version of his debut album, Shake Off The Dust. His follow up to his Live At Stubb’s album, appropriately called Live At Stubb’s: Volume II, lands in stores early next year.

Let’s take a look at those NYC / Brooklyn dates.

Matisyahu’s “Festival Of Light” begins Nov. 29 at the Brooklyn Bowl followed by the first of three nights at Brooklyn’s Music Hall oF Williamsburg Nov. 30 and Dec. 4-5.

The first non NYC-area date falls on Dec. 1 when Matisyahu heads to Clifton Park, N.Y., for a gig at Northern Lights before returning to Brooklyn for his remaining MHofW shows.

Boston comes after Brooklyn with Matisyahu playing Bean Town’s Paradise Rock Club Dec. 6; Baltimore’s Ram’s Head Live Dec. 7; Philadelphia’s Theatre Of The Living Arts Dec. 8 and Portland at the State Theatre Dec. 9.

Word is Matisyahu’s “Festival Of Light” dates will include many diverse and unique special guests and support acts. So far only Moon Taxi has been mentioned as supporting the artist on the last Brooklyn date as well as Boston, Baltimore, Philly and Portland.

Matisyahu is holding a fan presale via Facebook and Twitter and the general public onsale begins Oct. 22. For more information, click here, here and here for his Facebook, Twitter and website hangouts, respectively.
