Afro Celt To headline WOMADelaide
The local version of the UK’s WOMAD festival is held at Adelaide’s Botanic Park March 11-14 and host 400 acts from 25 countries over six stages.
Acts include UK musician producer Nitin Sawhney; Mongolian folk-punk band Hanggai; the 10-voice Creole Choir of Cuba, Ireland’s Alan Kelly Quartet; Egypt-based Sudanese group Rango; India’s shehnai and flute master Rajendra Prasanna; and Syrian folk-pop superstar Omar Souleyman.
Fifty more will be announced Nov. 17.
