Strong Sales For Jackson, Usher

Alan Jackson’s first visit downunder for Chugg Entertainment and Rob Potts Entertainment continues to break records for a country music act.

For his latest feat, he sold out his third show in Brisbane. The new date, for March 12 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, sold out in 23 minutes. The sellout equals Metallica’s three sellouts at the venue through Michael Coppel Presents.

A week earlier Jackson sold out his Melbourne (March 4), Sydney (March 7) and first two Brisbane dates (March 10-11) in an hour.
“Country’s the new heavyweight and most of the mainstream hasn’t even really noticed yet,” said Michael Chugg.

Added Potts, who’d spent more than a decade working to get Tim McGraw and now Jackson to Australia, “I always knew there was a market for the big names to come here, but I am so grateful to the fans who have made it even bigger and better than I thought it could be.”

Frontier Touring announced Oct. 25 that the first Sydney and Melbourne dates for Usher’s OMG tour sold out in minutes. Second shows were added for March 20 at Rod Laver Arena and March 24 at Sydney’s Acer Arena.
