Aretha Franklin Update

Earlier this week Franklin postponed a gig originally scheduled for tonight at Charlottesville’s Paramount Theatre. Now comes word that her Saturday night engagement at Drury University in Springfield, Mo., is postponed.

Drury University’s website reports The Pointer Sisters will perform in Franklin’s absence, stating the Queen Of Soul, “will not perform any concerts for the rest of 2010.” However, a Franklin representative told Pollstar only remaining October dates are affected and attempts are being made to reschedule the missed shows in 2011.
