Decade of Parnellis

Crew for “Star Wars: In Concert” racked up four awards during the Parnelli Awards at Las Vegas’ Rio Suite Hotel & Casino, where the people behind the scenes of the live events industry were honored during the event’s 10th-year celebration Oct. 22.

Longtime Brooks & Dunn tour manager Randy “Baja” Fletcher scored a lifetime achievement award for his 18 years with the duo.

Audio Innovator award went to Al Siniscal and Jim Bornhorst was named a Parnelli Visionary for his technological achievements.

The Star Wars tour took home Parnellis for best light and set design of the year, best video director of the year, best audio system tech of the year and best tour manager of the year.

Lighting and sound companies of the year went to Upstaging and Sound Image, Inc., respectively. Stageco took the staging honor and set construction went to All Access Staging & Productions. The freight forwarding award went to previous winner Rock-It Cargo.

Brad Paisley production manager Kevin Freeman also received an award.
