Devo Postpones Tour

An injury has forced Devo to postpone its upcoming tour until next year.

Specifically, guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh has suffered a serious hand injury. The gory details reveal that a glass shard sliced Mothersbaugh’s right thumb down to the bone, severing a tendon. He has already been in and out of surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

Although the fall tour included an Oct. 29 stop at in Asheville, N.C., the band assured fans that founding members Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale will still attend the event and accept the Moog Innovation Award.

Shows expected to be rescheduled to 2011 include Oct. 30 in NYC at Hammerstein Ballroom, Nov. 10 in Solana Beach, Calif., at the Belly Up Tavern; Nov. 11 in Highland, Calif., at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, Nov. 12 in Los Angeles at Club Nokia and Nov. 13 in San Francisco at the Warfield Theatre.
