Spaceland Changing Ownership

Los Angeles’ 260-capacity Spaceland is expected to change ownership in March and will be rebranded The Satellite.

Meanwhile, promoter Mitchell Frank, who opened the club in 1993, told the Los Angeles Times it was time to “move on” and there are hints a new Frank-run venue focusing on dance nights and DJs could open downtown.

Spaceland’s final days include a weekly residency by the Melvins.
